"Advisory previously issued by the government of Odisha for the farmers to keep their harvested crops and crops under harvest properly stacked in threshing ground/upland and covered and keep the paddy in mandis under cover to protect against damage due to rain is retained," special relief commissioner (SRC) P K Mohapatra said.
The MeT office forecast also said that under influence of the low pressure, interior parts of Odisha may also experience cold and dense fog.
The government has put the collectors on alert over probable rains due to low pressure. They have been directed to shift paddy from the mandis, SRC Pradipta Mohapatra said.
"Mainly coastal districts are likely to be affected," Mohapatra said.
