According to the MeT department, rainfall was recorded in Sitapur, Kaiserganj, Maharajganj, Ghazipur, Bahraich, Allahabad, Bindki, Khalilabad, Biswan and Lalganj.
The day temperatures rose appreciably in Varanasi and Allahabad, the department said, adding that Hamirpur was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 44.2 degrees Celsius.
The department has forecast a dry weather tomorrow.
