Rain stopped play in the group 1 T20 match between New Zealand and England in the ICC World Twenty20 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here today.
Chasing 173 to win, New Zealand were 52 for one in 5.2 overs when heaven opened up. Batsmen Brendon McCullum and Kane Williamson soon dashed off to the pavillion.
Amidst thunders claps and forks of lightning, McCullum blasted two sixes and a four in the fifth over to put New Zealand ahead on D/L. The only batsman to be dismissed is Martin Guptill (11).
