Light to moderate rains or thundershowers occurred at a few places and heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places in the past 24 hours, it said.
The chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was Turtipar and Balrampur 9 each; Kakardharighat, Utraulla and Salempur 8 each; Gonda, Chanderdeepghat and Nazibabad 7 each; Sambhal, Ballia, Ghazipur and Biswan 6 each, Bahraich, Khalilabad, Baheri and Bisalpur 5 each, Ayodhya, Dharuhera, Sahabad, Powayan and Sahjahanpur 4 each, the report stated.
It said rains or thundershowers will occur at a few places over east UP.
