Rains in many parts of Jharkhand cooled the temperature further, a day after cloudy conditions brought respite to the week-long heat wave conditions.
The MeT office sources said there was 4.8mm rainfall in Ranchi while steel city Jamshedpur recorded 1.3 mm.
Dumka, Pakur, Jamtara, Khunti, Hazaribagh, Palamau, Bokaro, Deoghar, Gumla and other parts of the state also experienced light to moderate rains, they said, adding that the maximum temperatures hovered between 26 degree Celsius and 36 degree C during the day, the sources said.
The MeT predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder shower while the maximum temperature predicted at around 29 degree C in tomorrow's weather forecast.
