Rains in parts of Raj, no respite from heat

There were light to moderate rains at isolated places, but not enough to bring some respite from the heat, as Rajasthan continued to witness a rise in maximum temperature by one to three degrees Celsius almost everywhere in the state.
Barmer was recorded the hottest with a maximum temperature of 43.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Jaisalmer (43), Bikaner (42.6), Churu (42.5) and Kota (42.1).
Light to moderate rains occurred at isolated places of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Kota and Udaipur divisions.
Jalore and Ahore recorded a rainfall of 3 cm each, while Siwana and Sindri recorded 2cm each, and Samdari (1 cm) till 8.30 am today.

Sriganganagar recorded 0.6 mm rainfall while the maximum for the day in the area stood at 41.5 degrees Celsius.
Jaisalmer recorded a rainfall of 0.2 mm till 5. 30 in the day.
Ajmer recorded a maximum of 41.4 degrees Celsius. It was followed by Dabok (41.2), Jaipur (40.8), Jodhpur (40) and Pilani (39.9).
The local MeT department has predicted traces of rainfall and thunderstorm along with gusty winds at isolated places in the state till tomorrow.
