The capital Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 31.7 degrees celsius, two less than the normal and a minimum of 26.1 degrees celsius.

The city received 0.1 mm of rain.

In Uttar Pradesh, light to moderate rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places over western and at one or two places over eastern districts of the state.

Agra, Moradabad, Khairagarh, Sambhal, Aligarh, Orai and Iglas are some of the cities which received rain.

The Central Water Commission report said that Ganga was rising all through its route from Fatehgarh to Chatnag (Allahabad) while Ramganga was flowing just under the red mark at Dabri (Shahjahanpur).

Sharda at Palia Kalan, Ghaghra at Elgin Bridge, Ayodhya and Turtipar and Burrhi Rapti at Kakrahi were still flowing over the danger mark but have lately started either receding or were static.

Rapti was flowing just under the red mark at Balrampur, Bansi, Rigauli and Birdghat.

Meanwhile, Army helicopters today continued to drop relief material to flood affected areas of Uttarkashi district amid reports that there was another cloud burst in the remote Mori area of the district.

Army's MI-16 and MI-17 choppers are dropping relief materials in the flood-affected areas, Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said.

The chief minister said another cloudburst had occurred in Mori area of the district yesterday but the district administration was still collecting reports about any loss of life or property. A team has been sent to the area, officials said.
