The local MeT office said 70 mm rainfall was recorded Moradabad, followed by 50 mm in Meerut, 40 mm in Budana and 30 mm each in Fatehgarh, Robertganj, Lalganj, Ghaziabad, Jhansi and Mathura.
Rain and thundershowers would occur at few places and heavy rainfall at isolated places in the next 48 hours across the state, the MeT said in a forecast.
A report from the Central Water Commission said Ganga at Gazipur and Ballia, Ken river at Banda, Sharda river at Palia Kalan and Ghaghra river at Elgin Bridge and Turtipar were flowing above the danger mark.
