In a letter to Jaitely, the chief minister has made special request to reduce GST rates on tilpati, chikki, gajak rewdi, among others, from 18 per cent to 5 per cent.
She wrote that only 5 per cent GST rate is applicable on sweets, so on these food products, the GST rate should be reduced from 18 per cent to 5 per cent only.
Also, the rates of GST on Mehndi products and marble, granite, hospitality sector and Rajasthani horses should be reduced, she added.
She said that due to tough competition in the international market, entrepreneurs associated with Rajasthan's export sector were affected due to high rates of GST.
