Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Ashok Jain, while chairing a meeting of education department officials, asked them to involve local artists and Aanganwadi workers in the awareness activities like rallies, debate, drawing competitions and quiz among electorate.
In another meeting with representatives of telecom companies, Jain asked them to ensure that candidate's expenditures on bulk SMSes must be submitted to the department well within time, and bulk SMSes be stopped 48 hours before the polling.
He also asked them to keep internet and network connectivity proper at polling booths during polling so that no interruption occurs during the process.
