Raj Governor urges medical varsity to adopt two villages

Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh called upon a medical varsity in the state to adopt at least two backward villages for providing its people the "best health care" and save their lives from serious diseases.
Singh, who is also the Chancellor of state universities, said that the Rajasthan Health Science University (RHSU) should adopt two most backward villages of the state.
It should provide people the best health care besides doing research on environment and seasonal diseases afflicting them in rural areas, he said while addressing the second convocation at RHSU here.
Besides suggesting to impart moral values to medical students, the Governor said, "the doctors should also apply emotional pathy (empathy) to cure patients".

Among others who spoke on the occasion included Medical and Health Minister Dr R S Rathor and DG of Indian Council of Medical Research Dr Vishwa Mohan Katoch.
