Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh has written to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, requesting her to initiate necessary action to seek the release of a man lodged in a Pakistani jail.
Gajanand Sharma's family members had visited Singh yesterday and requested him to intervene in the matter. Subsequently, the governor wrote to the minister, a statement issued today said.
Sharma went missing from Jaipur 36 years ago. It has emerged recently that he is lodged in a jail in Pakistan.
