"Talk with the 15-member delegation of Rajasthan Gujjar Aarakshan Sangarsh Samiti (RGASS) led by Kirori Singh Bainsla was held in a congenial atmosphere with a positive attitude to remove legal hurdles pending in the high court," Parliamentary, Medical and Health Minister R S Rathor said.
He was the state envoy for the talk.
"Experts will look into Constitutional ways to get the quota matter cleared by the Rajasthan High Court," he said.
RGASS had suspended its three-day dharna on the issue on October 2 after government assurance.
Convinced with the outcome of today's talks, Gujjar leader Bainsla said both sides decided to explore possibilities, especially legal to resolve the matter for all time.
"We will meet the government early next week", he said.
The Special Reservation Act of 2008 passed by Vasundhara Raje during her first tenure for 5 per cent quota in jobs and educational institutions to Special Backward Classes, which includes Gujjars, has been stayed by the Rajasthan High Court since it violates the Supreme Court guidelines to keep total reservation in the state up to 50 per cent.
