Raj govt working for overall development: Guv Kalyan Singh

Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh today lauded the Vasundhara Raje government, saying it is working for the overall development of the state and has formulated new policies for this purpose.
In his speech on the 70thIndependence Day, he said the government took steps to attract investment and strengthened infrastructure, introduced policies on MSME, start-ups, e-governance, tourism, agriculture marketing promotion and biotechnology among others.
"Efforts are on to materialize proposed investments worth Rs 3.38 crore through 470 MoUs signed under the Resurgent Rajasthan Summit-2015," he said.
Employment opportunities were provided to more than nine lakh youths through skill development and government recruitment programmes, he said.

"Under the government-run 'Nyay Apke Dwar' campaign, 48.46 lakh revenue cases were disposed off. Under Bhamashah scheme, 1.24 crore of 4.44 crore families were enrolled till August 11," he said.

Addressing the function, Raje highlighted the achievements of her government and felicitated 47 officials and others for their services and contribution to the society.
She felicitated a Presidents' Police medal (gallantry) posthumously, President's Police medal to one officer and Police medal to 17 police officers and other personnel in the function at Patel stadium in Ajmer. The Chief minister on the occasion
President's Police Medal for gallantry was be given posthumously to head constable Faiz Mohammad who was shot dead by criminals in Nagaur. His widow Madina Bano received the award.

IPS officer BL Soni, Director Rajasthan Police Academy, was given the Presidents' Police medal for meritorious services.
