Raj Met dept device falls on ground with its balloon

A small device attached to a balloon, said to be of the Meteorology department here, fell on the ground in Nagaur district of Rajasthan today.
SHO Moondwa police station Sangram Singh said the device is said to be a part of balloon of the Met department.
"It fell on a farm land. Locals informed us following which the device was seized and the department informed," Singh said.
An official of the Met department said balloons are launched for the observation of upper air direction.
"And when they get burst they come down with the device attached to it," the official said.
Recently a suspected balloon seen over the state was shot down by the Indian Air Force fighter aircraft.
