Rajasthan govt pursuing anti-people policies: Pilot

Rajasthan Congress president Sachin Pilot today accused the BJP government in the state of pursuing anti-people policies, alleging that poor farmers were forced to commit suicide due to its failures.
He told a farmers meeting in Nagaur that there is a need to treat agriculture sector like industry so that farmers could get maximum price for their produce.
The current condition of farmers is very worrisome as neither Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and nor her ministers took their concerns seriously all these years, a Congress statement quoting him said.
The cases of atrocities against Dalits have risen a lot and the state has reached the third position in the country in cases of crimes against women, he said.

The Congress has played its role as the opposition strongly and people are now looking at it with hope, he said.
