The ministers should ensure by their visits the benefits of the schemes and programmes reach to the intended people, said Raje while chairing a review meeting with ministers in-charge.
Noting that the accountability of officers should be fixed from top to bottom, Raje asked the ministers to visit the districts at least once a month to ensure proper implementation of schemes and programmes there.
"The minister should necessarily visit the districts at least once in a month and review execution and implementation of the schemes and programmes therein. Accountability of officers from top to bottom should also be fixed," she said.
Members of the council of ministers, chief secretary O P Meena and other senior officers were present at the meeting.
