Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said that Rajasthan has benefited from the special relationship between India and Japan.
She said Japan and Rajasthan have been working together for more than a decade and this partnership will keep growing stronger.
The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) has been playing pivotal role in this partnership, she said.
Raje was speaking at a meeting with delegation of JETRO here today.
She said the Japanese zone, set up in Neemrana during her last regime, has become a role model and other states are also emulating it.
Recalling her visit to Japan, she said that because of the seminars and investors' meets organised by JETRO, Rajasthan saw investment of more than Rs 1,700 crore from Japan.
The chief minister said solar energy is the power of the future and Rajasthan is the ideal destination for investment in solar energy.
She invited Japanese companies to invest in the sector too.
Raje said most of the issues raised during the last meeting with JETRO delegation have been resolved.
She assured that Rajasthan government was committed to providing all possible cooperation and support to JETRO and Japanese investors.
Chief Director General of JETRO-India Kazuya Nakajo and other members of the delegation praised the steps taken by the chief minister to create an investor friendly atmosphere and promote ease of doing business in the state.
