Rajiv Gandhi remembered in TN,Pondy on 71st birth anniversary

Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah administered a pledge of communal harmony to officers and staff at the Raj Bhavan today on the occasion of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's 71st birth anniversary.
At the state Congress office Satyamurthy Bhavan, senior party leaders, including AICC Secretary Su Thirunavukarasar and party spokesperson Kushbu Sundar paid floral tributes to a portrait of Rajiv Gandhi.
In Neyveli, Neyveli Lignite Corporation Chairman and Managing Director, B Surender Mohan administered a pledge to staff to promote national integration and communal harmony.
A Puducherry report said Chief Minister N Rangasamy led the Union Territory in paying tributes to Rajiv Gandhi.
The Speaker V Sabapathy, Ministers, MPs R Radhakrishnan, legislators, freedom fighters, officials and delegates of various organisations were among those who paid homage at the statue of the leader.
All those present took the 'Sadhbhavana Diwas' pledge administered by the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister later paid tributes at the portrait of Rajiv Gandhi in the office of the ruling AINRC.
AICC General Secretary V Narayanasamy, Leader of the opposition V Vaithilingam and PCC president A Namassivayam were among those who paid tributes at the portrait of Rajiv Gandhi at the office.
