He also demanded making public the Thakkar Commission report on killing of then prime minister Indira Gandhi.
"Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said RSS got Mahatma Gandhi killed. I want to ask Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, try to read the pages of history. Ban on RSS was lifted six months after imposition by the Congress government after it accepted that the allegations against RSS were baseless," Singh said while addressing a public meeting here.
"Still, Rahul Gandhi did not hesitate to make these allegations. I would like to demand they take back these allegations," Singh said, while addressing the meeting organised to complement Telangana people on the formation of separate state.
"Can't you do politics by telling truth," he questioned.
Launching a blistering attack on Congress, Singh asked why the report of Thakkar panel on Indira Gandhi's assassination was not made public even now.
"Where is the report? It has not been made public," he said.
"I am told that another submarine sunk because the life of its battery had expired. The prestige of the country is not upheld and guarded like this," he said.
Addressing a rally in Thane district of Maharashtra on March 6, Rahul had said "RSS people killed Gandhiji and today their people (BJP) talk of him... They opposed Sardar Patel and Gandhiji".
BJP has already moved the Election Commission against Rahul over his remarks.
