Singh has been given awarded for his role as the founder of K D Singh Foundation, which is working for empowerment of women, a release said.
The foundation has set up a support cell for rape victims in Haryana and has helped 150 victims, it added.
"Change has to germinate within us and KD Singh Foundation came into being out of my concerns over rising incidents of crime in India particularly against women," Singh said.
