Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is all set to start the shooting of his next outing 'Mirziya' in September this year.

"Mirziya's shooting will start in September and by 2016 we will release it. It is inspired by Mirza Sahiban. The film is also my foray into love stories. It is not a simple boy girl love story but a story of a lover," Mehra told PTI on the sidelines of Ladakh International Film Festival (LIFF).
Mehra started his career in films in 2001 with Amitabh Bachchan starrer supernatural thriller 'Aks' followed by his superhit 'Rang De Basanti'. His last outing was multiple award winning sports drama 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'.
With 'Mirziya', Mehra is teamimg with noted lyricist Gulzar, who has penned the script, for the first time. It will be shot primarily in Ladakh and Rajasthan.
"Gulzar sahab has already written the script," he added.
