Commissioner of Police Anurag Sharma said some groups were trying to create disturbance in the city by inciting communal animosity.

Under the orders, issued under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code, processions, dharnas, rallies or public meetings are prohibited during the three days.

The orders would be in force from 0600 hours on December 5 to 0600 hours on December 8.

Some organisations have called for bandh and 'Black-Day'.

Old City area and other localities witnessed communal tension last month with some incidents of violence.
