RJD, JD-U alliance is 'immoral': BJP

Ram Kripal Yadav said both have come together for "selfish" reasons

BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav today slammed RJD's support to the JD(U) government in Bihar, saying both have come together for "selfish" reasons and the alliance was "immoral".

Observing that politics in the state has taken a new turn, he said, "RJD and JD(U) have come close, not because for the interest of the country, but because of their selfish reason".

Opposition RJD in Bihar had yesterday announced support to the new JD(U) government in Bihar headed by Jitan Ram Manjhi.

Taking a dig at the two parties who have been critical of each other for the last 20 years, Yadav said, "While one party could not stay out of power, the other could not stay without a family and the rival parties have got worried. The alliance was immoral."

He said the developments have taken place because people in the state have voted in favour of BJP.

Yadav, who is the newly-elected BJP MP from Patliputra, had earlier termed the Nitish Kumar resignation episode as a "drama" and had sought fresh elections in the state.

He claimed there was lot of internal dissension within the JD-U and that the party was on the verge of "disintegrating and it can happened any time".

To a question whether the JD(U) has played a Dalit card by making Manjhi the chief minister of Bihar, he said people have seen the rule of both JD (U) and RJD in the state and would not want to be "cheated again".
