Ramadoss demands arrest of official for killing of youth

PMK leader Ramdoss today demanded the arrest of the Karnataka forest official responsible for the killing of Palani, a youth hailing from Govindapatti in Salem district while fishing in the Cauvery river in Chamaraj district in the neighbouring state few days ago.
In a statement here he sid Palani had gone to fish in the river along with two others. All the three were injured as the Karnataka forest officials fired at them. While two returned with injuries, Palani went missing. Later his body was found in a decomposed condition.
Ramdoss charged that Palani had been tortured and shot dead by the karnataka forest department personnel,leading to tension in Salem area.

He said the official responsible for the firig should be arrested. He also sought compensation for Palani's family and a job for his dependent.
