The bandh was called to protest the rape and murder of a five-year-old girl whose body was found in an under-construction building near her home at Darjie Mohallah in the city on Thursday.
"Sadam Quereshi, who was detained yesterday, was arrested today in connection with the case," Superintendent of Police (City) Manoj Ratan said.
