"Day by day such cases are increasing in the state," Rane said on the floor of the House, referring to the number of rape cases reported in Goa.
"Set up fast track court for such cases, let them be disposed of fast," he said, adding that "some of the cases might be bogus."
The data provided on the floor of the House indicates that during 2012, 46 cases of rape were reported in various police stations across the state.
Responding to another question, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said that 182 cases of molestation have been registered from April 2012 till date in the state.
