Citing the example of the news coverage of the terrorist attack in France, the Union MoS for Information and Broadcasting said the coverage "demoralised the terrorists there" and this sensitivity in news reporting should also be there in this country.
"Such news should be presented before the public in such a manner so that it doesn't create panic," Rathore said at a programme here.
He said the government is working to increase the reach and coverage of FM network in the country.
He also said that FM facility will be provided on national highways after analysing the pilot project started on Jaipur-Delhi National Highway.
