Rathore leaves on six-day tour of Zimbabwe and Namibia

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore today left on a six-day tour of Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Officials said that Rathore is visiting Zimababwe and Namibia as Special Envoy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to invite the respective heads of these countries for the India-Africa Forum Summit which is being organised later this year.
The government is keen to reach out to the African nations, officials added.
The summit was earlier scheduled to be held in December 2014, but was later postponed and will be held later this year. Officials said.
