Raveena Tandon, Sanjeev Kapoor at Dubai Food Fest

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor are set to participate in Masala! Food Fair, a two-day celebration of food and entertainment from the subcontinent, beginning here tommorow.
The outdoor festival lined up at at Zabeel Park is part of the part of Dubai Food Festival, organisers said in a statement.
"Well, I've never been to a food fair before so it's a first for me, and I always love to try out new So yes, I am definitely looking forward to being at Masala! Food Fair!" Raveena said.
From indulging in finger-licking street food to watching high-profile chefs showcase their talent on stage and participating in live competitions judged by the celebrities, to shopping for food-related goodies, this two-day outdoor festival promises something for everyone say organisers.
Sanjeev Kapoor, will be part of a live stage show on the first day event and will also host a series of interactive culinary sessions and judge on-site competitions.
"Being a global ambassador for Indian cuisine is a source of great pride for me and to be given an opportunity to interact with food lovers from all over at the first ever Masala! Food Fair is very exciting," Kapoor said.
"This event is designed to celebrate the influence of the South Asian diaspora in the UAE and I am looking forward to taking visitors on a beautiful and memorable culinary journey," he said.
Music acts food challenges, demonstrations and competitions will add to the festive atmosphere, say organisers.
"The subcontinent's rich and diverse culinary traditions are firmly rooted in Dubai's foodie culture and restaurant scene," Debra Greenwood, Director of the Dubai Food Festival (DFF) said.
We are excited that residents as well as tourists from around the world attending this event will get to experience the diversity, creativity and multi-cultural nature of Dubai's culinary offering - influenced by the flavours of the 200 nationalities that live in Dubai," Greenwood said.
