Ravindra Kumar new INS President

The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) today elected Ravindra Kumar, Editor of 'The Statesman' newspaper as its president for the year 2013-14.
Kumar, who succeeds K N Tilak Kumar of Deccan Herald and Prajavani was chosen at the 74th Annual General Meeting of the society.
At the meeting, Kiran B Vadodaria (Sambhaav Metro) was elected as Deputy President while P V Chandran of 'Grihalakshmi' as Vice President.
Sanjay Gupta (Dainik Jagran, Varanasi) was chosen as the honorary treasurer of INS for the year 2013-14. V Shankaran is the Secretary General of the Society.
Among the members of the Executive Committee of INS are L Adimoolam (Health and The Antiseptic), Pawan Agarwal (Dainik Bhaskar), Samahit Bal (Pragativadi), K Balaji (The Hindu Weekly), V K Chopra (Dainik Asam), Rishi Darda (Lokmat, Ahmednagar), Vijay Darda (Lokmat), Jagjit Singh Dardi (Charhdikala Daily) and Ravindra Dhariwal (Navbharat Times).
The other members are Viveck Goenka (The Indian Express, Mumbai), Mahendra Mohan Gupta (Dainik Jagran), Pradeep Gupta (Dataquest), Shailesh Gupta (Mid-Day), Mohit Jain (Economic Times), C H Kiron (Vipula and Annadata), R Lakshmipathy (Dinamalar), Rajul Maheshwari (Amar Ujala).
Jayant Mammen Mathew (Malayala Manorama), Vilas A Marathe (Dainik Hindusthan, Amravati), Naresh Mohan (Sunday Statesman), Abhijit Pratap Pawar (Gomantak, Goa), Maheshwar Peri (Outlook), R M R Ramesh (Dinakaran), K Raja Prasad Reddy (Sakshi, Vishakhapatnam), Rakesh Sharma (Aaj Samaj), Somesh Sharma (Rashtradoot Saptahik), Manoj Kumar Sonthalia (The New Indian Express) and Kiran D Thakur (Tarun Bharat, Belgaum) are also members.
The Executive Committee also includes, Akila Urankar (Business Standard), M Venkatesh (Hindustan Times), Vinay Verma (The Tribune), Vijay Kumar Chopra (Punjab Kesari, Jalandhar), Pratap G Pawar (Sakal), M P Veerendrakumar (Mathrubhumi), Jacob Mathew (Vanitha), Bahubali S Shah (Gujarat Samachar), Hormusji N Cama (Bombay Samachar Weekly), T Venkttaram Reddy (Deccan Chronicle), Kundan R Vyas (Vyapar, Mumbai), Ashish Bagga (India Today) and K N Tilak Kumar (Deccan Herald and Prajavani).
