Rawal welcomes SC direction on playing of National Anthem

Actor and BJP MP Paresh Rawal today hailed the Supreme Court's direction that cinema halls across the country must play National Anthem before the screening of a film.
Hitting out at those who are opposed to the move, he said they have "lower intelligence" and will "oppose anything".
"There is nothing wrong in it (apex court's direction). It is a good thing...Those who oppose, I think they have lower intelligence. They will oppose anything. It is a very good move," Rawal said outside Parliament.
In a bid to "instil committed patriotism and nationalism", the Supreme Court today ordered cinema halls across the nation to mandatorily play the National Anthem before screening of a movie and the audience must stand and show respect.
