Inspecting agriculture, energy and revenue departments, yesterday, the Chief Minister expressed displeasure over delay in survey of crop damage and distribution of relief to the farmers, an officials statement said here today.
He also said that inspite of the state government already earmarking Rs 20 cr for farmers' compensation, distribution of the money is being delayed.
During a meeting yesterday, the Chief Minster asked top officials to speed up the process of providing compensation to farmers and gave them the responsibility of specific areas to get it done quickly.
Besides providing relief, the CM also asked the officials to prepare a scheme under MNREGA and other flagship schemes to provide proper income to the affected farmers.
