In the first tranche in January this year, RBI found 20 institutions suitable for registration to get assistance from the fund.
"With a need to widen and deepen depositor awareness efforts, it has now decided to call for the second tranche of fresh applications," RBI said in a notification today.
RBI said it has invited the second tranche of fresh applications for registering institutions, organisations and associations for grant of financial assistance from the Depositor Education and Awareness (DEA) Fund.
The DEA Fund scheme envisages registration of institutions, organisations or associations and grant of financial assistance to them for promotion of depositors' interests.
