RCB can bounce back just as MI did last year: Chahal

In a must-win situation in their remaining four matches, Royal Challengers Bangalore leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal today said his team seeks to take inspiration from Mumbai Indians, who bounced back last year from a dismal position to lift the IPL title.
"Yes, we are in a tight situation. Even if we lose one match, we are out of playoffs. All four games are a must win. Let us see how they unfold. Nothing is impossible. We have seen how Mumbai Indians bounced back last year after losing so many (nine) games in a row to enter finals and win the cup for the second time," Chahal told reporters on the eve of their Indian Premier League match against Gujarat Lions here.

Chahal admitted that RCB bowlers have been conceding far too many runs in death overs.
"We have given away more runs in death overs. Even two bad overs can change the game in the power play," he said.
The 25-year-old bowler said while his captain Virat Kohli depends a lot on him to take wickets, he is not under pressure.
"As I am the only leg spinner, he depends on me for wickets. There is not much pressure on me as I have already played 35-36 T20 matches," he said.

Stating that the wicket here has undergone a change from being hard to dry, Chahal said the team playing second would be under pressure if it has to chase a score above 180.

On whether Chris Gayle would be included in the playing XI tomorrow, Chahal said: "The captain and the team will take a call on Gayle, a great player who has not been among runs this season after the World Cup. He needs one big game."
On KL Rahul dropping a few chances, Chahal said even a regular wicketkeeper sometimes drops catches and miss chances.
"Rahul has been keeping the wickets for quite some time. Even regular keepers miss stumping chances and miss catches. These things happen," he said.
