RDB (Rhythm Dhol Bass), behind hit numbers like 'Saddi Gali' and 'Rafta Rafta', are a Punjabi DJ production team comprising three brothers Kuly, Manj and Surj, who blend Western genres with traditional Punjabi beats and vocals.
Kuly was diagnosed with brain tumour in April, 2011 and underwent radio and chemotherapy. He was receiving treatment at a specialised clinic in Houston, USA where he lost his battle with cancer yesterday, the manager said. He passed away Wednesday morning.
RDB and the family asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time and thanked their fans and well-wishers for their continued support and condolences.
In the past, RDB made music for some famous songs like 'Saddi Gali' from 'Tanu Weds Manu', 'Rafta Rafta' from 'Namaste London', title song of 'Yamla Pagla Deewana', 'Singh is Kinng', 'Aloo Chaat' and few others.
