BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh today said that he was ready for a probe by any agency following the allegations of having amassed assets disproportionate to his income were levelled by some Congress leaders of the state.
Chugh's statement comes after some state Congress leaders reacted to his earlier statement saying: "money stashed in foreign banks by Capt Amarinder Singh and his family must come forward with any evidence of amassing wealth and unlawful properties against me".
Notably, Congress leaders OP Soni, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, Sukhjinder Sarkaria, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Harjinder Thekedar and Gurjeet Aujla had hit out at Chugh for speaking against Capt Amarinder Singh, who is sitting MP from Amritsar.
Chugh dared Congress leaders to get his assets probed by Lokpal, Lokayukta, Enforcement Directorate, Judiciary, Income Tax Department, IB and even CBI.
He said he has nothing to hide, while taking on the Congress leaders who pointed out fingers at Chugh after he had launched an attack on Amarinder.
"You choose the department or the agency and get my assets probed," he said adding, "but at the same time the leaders who pointed fingers at him must be ready to get their assets probed from the same agency."
The BJP leader said that,"if they have any such evidence against me, they must come forward and make it public..
