Senior leaders of Congress have started looking into the reasons responsible for its defeat in the recent state assembly polls, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Kantilal Bhuria said here today.
"Senior Congress leaders have already begun the exercise of finding the reasons behind the party's defeat and the partymen would soon come to know about its positive outcome," Bhuria said in a statement.
He advised party workers and leaders to refrain from making any statement about the party's defeat.
Any statement given by the party workers outside the appropriate forum would be useful only for the media, which they present as news of the day, he said.
The state Congress chief said that though the partymen are free to air their grievances and suggestions, it should be done before the AICC or the MPCC, which will be in the interest of the party in the longer run.
"Though it is a fact that the party has lost elections, nobody would prevent the partymen from struggling for the people of the state," Bhuria said.
