In an informal chat with newsmen here today, he said the "rumours" need not be trusted.
"It all started with a tweet (by a senior journalist). One television news picked it up and others followed," the Chief Minister said, referring to reports about his likely replacement.
The rumours started, according to him, after former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Narayan Rane met AICC president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi the other day.
"There was some speculation about Maharashtra and they included AP as well. But I will be the CM till 2014 and Congress will come back to power," Reddy asserted.
