Linseeds oil gained further on good demand from paints and allied industries.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial held stable due to lack of any worthwhile buying.
In futures, castorseeds moved down on speculative selling following reduced export enquiries.
In the edible section, Refined palmolein fell by Rs 4 per 10kg to Rs 523 from Monday's closing level of Rs 527. Groundnut oil prices closed unchanged at Rs 1,140 per 10 kg.
In the non-edible segment, Linseed oil moved up by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 820 as compared to Rs 815 yesterday. However, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial were unaltered at Rs 3,525 per 100kg and Rs 735 per 10kg respectively.
Turning to futures, castorseed December contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,840 and drifted to close at Rs 3,820 as against Rs 3,845 yesterday, showing a modest loss of Rs 25 per tonne.
