Meanwhile, groundnut oil declined due to subdued offtake from stockists and retailers.
In non-edibles section, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial slipped owing to reduced demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseedoil maintained its stable trend in the absence of any major buying.
In the futures market, castorseeds fell on speculative selling following reduced export enquiries.
In edible section, Refined palmolein inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 511 from Thursday's close of Rs 510. While, groundnutoil eased by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,230 from Rs 1,235.
Turning to futures, castorseed March contract resumed lower at Rs 3,850 and drifted to close at Rs 3,820 from Rs 3864 previously, showing a loss of Rs 44 per tonne.
