While, groundnut oil ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the non-edible segment, Castorseed bold and castor oil commercial recovered on renewed offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil declined following lower demand from paint and allied industries.
In the futures market, castorseeds for December rebounded smartly on heavy speculative demand on the back of higher export enquiries.
In the edible section,refined palmolein fell by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 607 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 610. Groundnutoil closed unchanged at Rs 850 per 10kg.
Turning to futures, castorseed December contract opened higher at Rs 3,880 and advanced further to Rs 3,960 before settling at Rs 3,958 from Rs 3,857 previously, showing a net gain of Rs 101 per tonne.
