Refined soya oil prices on Monday fell Rs 23.2 to Rs 770 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March declined by Rs 23.2, or 2.92 per cent, to Rs 770 per 10 kg in 21,720 lots.
The refined soya oil contracts for April dropped by Rs 25.8, or 3.32 per cent, to Rs 751.4 per 10 kg in 31,665 lots.
Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices.
