Refined soya oil prices rose by 0.78 per cent in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions aided by rising demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the August contract of refined soya oil rose by Rs 5.35, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 691.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,37,640 lots.
Similarly, the July contract traded higher by Rs 4.60, or 0.66 per cent to Rs 699.75 per 10 kg in 72,390 lots.
Analysts said pick up in demand in spot market and restricted arrivals from producing belts supported the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
