Meanwhile, Allahabad Commissioner Devesh Chaturvedi and IG Alok Sharma in a joint statement said the two deaths in the Kumbh area were not due to stampede. "There is no death in Kumbh due to stampede. However, it may be possible that someone have died due to disease or wounds before going to the snan or after returning from there," the statement said.
