Rahul lamented that the political system is such that the voice of common man is not heard. "We also have shortcomings," he said referring to a chasm in the society because of caste system. During a meeting in Jagdishpur, he said it was only Congress which carried everyone along. Without naming any organisation, he said other parties talked about caste and religion and it showed they did not have faith in "Hindustani traditions". "This change has to be brought by you by standing together and demanding (your rights) in the face of corrupt people and officials in the government," he said but exuded confidence that this task was long but could be achieved. "Youth can bring a change but their hands are tied," he said adding that youth wants to work but they did not have job opportunities in the state. Gandhi also inaugurated different projects in the constituency carried out through the MP Local Area Development funds. Wherever he went, slogans like 'yuvaon ne thana hai, Rahul ko PM banana hai' (Youth have resolved to make Rahul the Prime Minister), 'Yuvaon me hai nayi umang, aao chalo Rahul ke sang' (Youth have new enthusiasm, let us support Rahul) had come up. On the second day of his visit, he would hold a meeting with party workers and office bearers in Bhetya area before leaving for Delhi.
