Subedar Raghubir Singh, a resident of Una district in Himachal Pradesh, was returning home from Ludhiana.
He was killed after he lost control over his speeding car as a tyre burst and it collided with the truck late last evening, they added.
The body has been handed over to the family after post mortem, police said, adding that a probe is on but no FIR has been lodged yet.
