Reuters bureau chief in Pakistan found dead

A prominent foreign women journalist, working for Reuters news agency in Pakistan, was found dead today in the bathroom of her house here.
Maria Golovnina, a Russian national, had been working with Reuters as the its bureau chief for Pakistan and Afghanistan for the past year and a half.
Golovnina was found dead in the bathroom of a house being used as an office, police said.
The dead body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) where doctors were waiting for permission from her family to conduct detailed autopsy to know the exact cause of her sudden death.

Initial reports showed her death occurred from natural causes. There was no sign of violence on the body, a PIMS spokesperson said.
