Kamal Kishore Choudhary (45) was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe from a farmer named Babulal Dhakat at Manasa tehsil of Neemuch district, Lokayukta police inspector Basant Mishra told PTI.
He said that Dhakat approached the accused to get land which he had purchased to be mutated in his name, but Choudhary asked him to shell out Rs 20,000 as bribe for it, the inspector said.
The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigations are on.
