Patwari Kamal Visi (42) posted at Chordiya village in Mhow and his aide Rajkumar (25) were caught while they were taking Rs 1 lakh as bribe from farmer Bhagwan Patel (50), Lokayukta police DSP D S Gurjar said.
Patel had applied for measurement of his land in Chordiya village with the tehsil office but Visi demanded Rs 1.80 lakh for the work, he said.
Patel had paid the first instalment of Rs 80,000 to Visi, but later lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta police.
Visi and Rajkumar have been booked under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigations were on, he added.
